I look for MOTIVATION in all places. I found Zaria Forman via Instagram about two years ago and have been following her work ever since. Not only was I amazed by her art, but I was inspired. In my surfing the web, I learned that her genre is called "hyperrealism". (This is where an artist can take a high resolution photograph and recreate it.)
As you can see from the video, Zaria Forman has been blessed with an awesome gift. Her ability to capture the light and shadow in the ice, as well as motion in still water, is incredible. She says in the video that, "I disappear into the color, the form, the shape and tone." It makes me think about my own art. How focused am I about my writing? Do I disappear into the pace of a scene, the plot, the dialogue, and the characters? Do I feel that writing is the one thing that I want to spend all my time doing?
What about you? How focused are you? Do you find that you lose track of time while working on your business/talent?
"I'm so focused on the work that somehow everything else dissolves into the background." --Zaria Forman
